Meet
Our Optometrists
A native Californian, Dr. Kathleen Kennedy was born in Berkeley and received her bachelor’s degree with honors from UCLA. She received her doctorate in optometry from UC Berkeley.
Dr. Kennedy has been honored by the California Optometric Society and was chosen for 20/20 magazine’s Best and Brightest award. She is a past board member of the Castro Lions Club and is past president of the San Francisco Optometric Society.
She has volunteered extensively with Lions In Sight, Help the World See, local school vision screenings, San Francisco’s Project Homeless Connect, and other local and international organizations.
Licensed to treat many ocular conditions, including pink eye and ocular allergies, Dr. Kennedy is deeply committed to taking excellent care of you and your eyes.
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Kennedy likes to read, travel, run, and shock her friends (but they are mostly optometrists, so it doesn’t take much).
Dr. Tonya Watson received her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. She was a Beider Scholar and graduated with both Clinical and Research Honors. After optometry school, Dr. Watson completed a residency in pediatrics and primary care at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry.
Dr. Watson received a Ph.D. in Vision Science from UC Berkeley in 2005. For her dissertation, she worked on several projects to better understand cerebral visual impairment. In addition to working at For Your Eyes Only, Dr. Watson also continues to work part-time at UC Berkeley as a clinical instructor. She enjoys bringing the latest research advancements to clinical care.
Outside of work, Dr. Watson enjoys spending time with her wife and friends. She enjoys traveling, comedy, good food and wine. She also loves her very handsome dogs, Mr. Utley, Max and Charlie.

I’ll help you pick out the perfect pair – perfect in function and fashion! We pride ourselves in understanding insurance coverage well; we will be able to explain all of your insurance benefits and help you to navigate through the different options.
I am always eager to help you during your visit. It is my pleasure to greet you and to provide a superior testing experience to get you ready for the doctor. I enjoy assisting the doctors and opticians in taking care of your optical needs. When it is time to pick up your glasses and/or contacts, I look forward to making sure you are satisfied.
I strive to provide you with the best optical experience. I'm always willing to educate you on your lens options, give you helpful advice and guide you to the perfect eyewear selection. I want frame selection to be enjoyable and I will help you find frames that will make you smile when you put them on.
I enjoy taking my time with each patient to make sure they have the best care based on their needs. I love helping patients find glasses that they feel comfortable and confident wearing. If you should need any repairs on your glasses, I work diligently to make all the necessary repairs and return your glasses to you in the best condition possible.
