FYEO & Community

Throughout the years, Dr. Kennedy and Dr. Watson have donated their time and materials to help promote healthy vision in our schools and our community. A few examples include:

Dr. Kennedy, Dr. Watson, and the staff at FYEO provide free full eye exams (and glasses if needed) to children from Harvey Milk Elemetary School who did not pass their school vision screening.

Dr. Kennedy takes part in vision screenings for Project Homeless Connect; helping those in need with eye care service.

Dr. Watson provides vision screenings for the Napa Berryessa Lions Club.

Dr. Kennedy has volunteered at the Stuart Hall School for Boys, talking to 3rd grade students about vision and eye health.

Dr. Kennedy is a member of the Castro Lions and has participated in many sight saving missions to third world countries over the years. 

For Your Eyes Only also proudly supports our community through donations to various non-profit organizations. This year we have contributed to the Human Rights Campaign, the GLBT Historical Society, the Lavender Youth Recreation and Information Center (LYRIC), the Most Holy Redeemer AIDS Support Group, Project Open Hand, and AIDS Walk. We love our community and know it's important to give back.

Our patients can help the Lions by donating their old glasses to our office. The glasses are taken on volunteer missions that provide eyecare to those in need.

Community Volunteer Eye Care

• Schools of the Sacred Heart
   Dr. Kennedy volunteered at the Schools of the Sacred Heart on March 2nd to provide vision screening to grade school children.
  
  
• March 2011 Project Homeless Connect
  Eye exams for the homeless at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.
  
  
• Harvey Milk Elementary School
  Eye exams for students of Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy Elementary School.
  
  
• Lions In Sight volunteer trip to Aguascalientes, Mexico
  Dr. Kennedy volunteered with the Lions In Sight program to proide free eye exams and glasses to people in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
