Eye Exams

Eye care services: Our comprehensive eye examinations include checking for glaucoma, CMV retinitis, diabetic changes, ocular damage from high blood pressure, ultra violet light damage, and a thorough evaluation of your general eye health. You should receive a comprehensive eye examination annually.

Adult eye care: The AOA also recommends an annual eye exam for any adult who wears eyeglasses or contacts. If you don't normally need vision correction, you still need an eye exam every two years up to the age of 40, depending on your rate of visual change and overall health. Doctors often recommend more frequent examinations for adults with diabetes, high blood pressure and other disorders, because many diseases can have an impact on vision and eye health.

If you are over 40, it's a good idea to have your eyes examined every year to check for common age-related eye problems such as presbyopia, cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration.

Children eye care: Some experts estimate that approximately 5% to 10% of pre-schoolers and 25% of school-aged children have vision problems. Our doctors recommend all children have their eyes examined before their fourth birthday, and some sooner depending on family history and signs indicating vision issues. Dr. Tonya Watson has completed a residency in pediatrics and is happy to examine children as young as 9 months-old.

Contact Lens Services

New to contacts? – If you have never worn contact lenses before, the contact lens fitting fees include teaching you how to insert and remove the lenses, ensuring a healthy fit initially and at the follow-up visits, any trial contact lenses needed*, and a contact lens care kit. Three months of contact lens related follow-up visits are also included.

Already wearing contact lenses? – To assist us in serving you, please bring your previous contact lens prescription (or your contact lens boxes) with you and please wear your contacts to your visit. We will evaluate the health of your eye in relation to the fit of your contact lenses and renew your prescription for contact lenses.

Need to be refit?– If your old contact lenses are no longer comfortable, fit in an unhealthy fashion, or no longer serve your vision needs, you may need a refit. The contact lens refit fees include ensuring a healthy fit initially and at the follow-up visits, any trial contact lenses needed*, and a contact lens care kit. Three months of contact lens related follow-up visits are also included. Our doctors will work with you to assess your needs and determine the best options for your eyes – health and vision!

*Any special order trial contact lenses may require an additional fee.

Lasik Co-Management

Our LASIK evaluations include consultation and preliminary screening tests to help determine if you are a good candidate for refractive surgery. We also provide convenient follow-up, post-op care at our office.
