Dr. Tonya Watson received her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. She was a Beider Scholar and graduated with both Clinical and Research Honors. After optometry school, Dr. Watson completed a residency in pediatrics and primary care at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry.
Dr. Watson received a Ph.D. in Vision Science from UC Berkeley in 2005. For her dissertation, she worked on several projects to better understand cerebral visual impairment. In addition to working at For Your Eyes Only, Dr. Watson also continues to work part-time at UC Berkeley as a clinical instructor. She enjoys bringing the latest research advancements to clinical care.
Outside of work, Dr. Watson enjoys spending time with her wife and friends. She enjoys traveling, comedy, good food and wine. She also loves her very handsome dogs, Mr. Utley, Max and Charlie.
